Ebony Finck (b.1987) is an Australian-born emerging photomedia artist. The fragility of human existence and psyche is central to her practice, which examines the transient nature of life and our emotional landscape. She has explored these universal themes via the landscape, animal and human form.
After completing her Advanced Diploma of Photography in 2015 at Photography Studies College Southbank, she has exhibited at the 2017 Copenhagen Photo Festival, Censored Exhibition; the National Portrait Gallery London for the 2016 Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize; the 2016 Hyderabad India photo festival with a solo presentation; was winner of the 2015 Life Framer “the human body” award; shortlisted for the Lensculture, Head On and IRIS Award Portrait Prizes; and awarded second prize for the Fortyfivedownstairs, Melbourne emerging artist award. Ebony divides her time between her own practice and commercial projects in Australia.
