Emily Kepulis is a mixed media artist living in Portland, Oregon. With a background and interest in all things visual and most things language, her work is influenced by the interaction between these two mediums and how their employment affects meaning and interpretation. Her recent work explores the tension and relationship between the inanimate and the living, personified within the human experience. When not painting or writing these days, she is currently learning the art of video and installation and is excited to see what can unfold from these instruments.
