Silkom’s work centres around seasons. Seasons of the heart, seasons of the mind, and an interrogation of the seasons imposed on “Australia.”
She looks at how seasons are changing in the anthropocene, and implores viewers to consider their own relationship to place, landscape, and each other.
This limited print-run of ‘rain,’ is inspired by the journey between Garrthalala and Yirrkala in harvest season on Yolngu country.
20% of profits from each sale of this print will go towards Firesticks Alliance (10%), and Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Arts Centre in Yirrkala (10%).
