I was a digital ‘babe’ when I was in Ankara – Istanbul, demanding our gay rights as a human rights lawyer/activist, being an eye for our streets. That’s how I started taking photos, for the record.
Things have changed. I left my soul in Istanbul. After losing a country and having a four year break from photography, I started shooting on film to adapt, share and love.
It has been a safe space for me.
