Wednesday Sutherland (b. 1992) is a photomedia artist based in Newcastle, NSW.
She is also a writer, curator and content producer.
Having exhibited widely in Newcastle, Wednesday is known for her stark, yet intimate, portrayals of the Australian built and natural environment. Her recent works offer a more abstract representation; a direct result of her experimentation with contemporary and traditional media.
The work you see on Cream Town is an exploration of these unique possibilities afforded by melding new and old technology: photocopiers, analogue/digital photography, and darkroom processes.
Wednesday is currently completing a Bachelor of Creative Industries at University of Newcastle.
